A companion world for software work, built from material collaborators choose to supply. Its structure mirrors OpenScienceUniverse so both read the same way — the content is simply not ours to write, so nothing here stands in for it.

Reserved plates

These plates reserve the places collaborator-supplied material will occupy. They are empty by intent: an empty plate states what is missing, while an invented one would claim work nobody submitted.

Maintenance activity
The care work that keeps a project usable, as reported by its maintainers.
Nothing to report yet. Maintenance is never inferred from the outside.

Boundaries
What this universe will not do.
- It will not write project descriptions on a collaborator's behalf.
- It will not infer activity that was never supplied.
- It will not display sample projects, sample charts or sample counts to fill a layout.
- It will not present decorative artwork as an observation about any project.
How content arrives
Reviewed static files, dated and sourced.
Contributed material lands the same way every other snapshot on this site does: as reviewed static files carrying a date, a covered period and a provenance note, with missing coverage stated rather than smoothed over. Updating the universe means reviewing the changed files and redeploying the site.
Until then this page keeps its full structure — navigation, plates, definitions and return path — so the layout can be reviewed against OpenScienceUniverse today.
